Burn After Reading: A Read It Later Client For Windows Phone 7

Read It Later has become quite a popular service in recent times; after all, who wouldn’t like to have access to huge quantities of videos and other web data even when offline? The service enjoys so much success owing to the fact that it has got its clients for almost all major platforms. One smartphone OS, however, has, until now, been overlooked, i.e., Windows Phone 7. The Mango platform still hasn’t got an official Read It Later client, but there is a pretty good third-party app available in the Marketplace, by the name of Burn After Reading. Using this app, you can access your Read It Later account, and it also lets you manage all the content you have got stored for offline viewing. Head past the break to know more.

You will need to have a Read It Later account in order to use Burn After Reading, as there is no option to sign up for one from within the app. If you don’t have one, you can create a new account from the official Read It Later website. Once you have done that and signed in using your username and password, you will be taken to the main section of Burn After Reading, which is further subdivided into three tabs;unread, read and all. From the Settings menu of the app, you can choose to let it mark every item as read immediately after it has been opened. From that same menu, users can enable their Google Bookmarks account, and sync the material stored in it with Burn After Reading.
Burn After Reading supports in-app searching, and you can download any number of bookmarks saved to your cloud account. While reading any article offline, there are two options which can be used for viewing it. You can either read it as it was actually on the source page (complete with images and formatting). or there is the option to use the text mode, which will strip away everything from the post other than plain text. Articles, videos and images read on Burn After Reading can be shared with others via email, Facebook or Twitter.
If you are a WP7 user who likes the convenience Read It Later brings to life, Burn After Reading is a must-have, specially given the fact that it is available as a free download for a limited time. Below is the download link for the app.
