Link Icon is a Chrome extension that displays icons next to the cursor when you hover over a link, indicating the type of the target you will be redirected to. Currently, the extension supports multiple indicators for windows, protocols, scripts, file types, security and more. Some of the links it displays are for new window/tab, music, images, PDF, torrents, text files, Google Chrome extensions, and various others. What’s more, you can enable or disable different icons from Options, depending on your preferences.
Link Icon works on almost all search engines, and when you hover over a link, the icons appear in a tool tip. You will also be able to view different types of indicators, depending on the type of link. With it, you can find out if you’re going to be redirected to a a secured website, and whether or not a link consists of an image, script, extension, text file or more.
You will find an extensive list of icons on the Link Icon Options page. These boxes let you define which icons appear in the link icon tooltip. From here, you can also check or uncheck links to enable/disable them.
